Jason Storm, before this day a little known writer of the Caribbean, is in town! Storm has earned a reputation with his story „rum is not worth my love“, that got published only by mistake, but managed to immediately captivate its’ readers. „Success can hit anyone, sometimes even when you do not expect it at all“, said Storm. To clear a path for other poets, he has thought up something very special. Storm goes on, saying „At the moment I am touring with my newest piece „Whispers of the Sea“, containing a lot of funnies and short stories, that I either picked up along my travels, or that I have written myself. To give ambitious poets and comedians the opportunity yo step out of the shadow, I invite all Pirates, British, French and Spanish to take part in my gathering ob Caribbean poets. Here, they can present to me their best poems or jokes. But this is not all. We will select the best piece out of all entries and will not only honor it, but will make it famous through being published in the Burning Sea Gazette.“ When asked if there were any requirements, Storm replied „So that it will go orderly and leave no bitter feelings, we will of course have to have a few limitations:
No vulgar of obscene poems or jokes
The poems should rhyme, if possible
The joke or poem should not exceed 6 lines, and finally
The topic has to be concerned with sailing.
I, for my part, am very anxious about this and who knows, maybe we will discover here the next Shakespeare of the 18th century.“ So we can all look forward to what we will be presented with, next week!
Jason Storm is looking for any captain to would like to join in on some fun, maybe has a good pirate story or pirate joke to tell and is not afraid of some competition for their chance to sail home with the prize money.
Interested Captains should meet Captain Storm in Havana on the following dates. Please note that there is one day given for each language, so please choose the date that matches the language your entry will be in.
